Former Mike Tyson trainer Ronnie Shields has no doubt who will be knocked out in the Jake Paul fight

The eight-round contest between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is still a week away.

In this unlikely meeting, a former world heavyweight champion and a man who still holds the record for being the youngest fighter to ever win a world title faces someone less than half his age who has only had 11 professional fights has.

The 27-year-old Paul has only 10 victories in the ring and suffered one defeat against fellow youngster Tommy Fury. He has largely fought against mixed martial arts fighters or those with very little boxing experience.

Tyson, of course, had one of the most illustrious careers in the sport, fighting legends like Frank Bruno, Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis.

They enter the ring on November 15th and will fight eight two-minute rounds under professional rules in Texas. It will be Tyson's first fight of this kind in 20 years since he retired after two defeats.

Speaking to FigthHype, Tyson's former trainer Ronnie Shields, who was in his corner against Lewis, was asked about the fight.

“It is what it is, Mike is a fighter, Jake Paul wants to be a fighter. Mike is constantly training. You watch videos of your training all the time, so why not.”

He was then asked how he saw the outcome of the fight.

“Well it can go two ways, Mike knows the sport. He's been at it his whole life, so he knows how to pace himself and complete eight two-minute laps. Jake Paul hasn't been in this position yet, especially against a strong fighter like Mike. The pressure will be more on Jake Paul.”

He was then asked if Tyson would win, and by knockout, and he didn't hesitate to answer.

“Absolutely.”

Shields isn't the only former Tyson trainer to give his prediction for the fight, with Freddie Roach also being asked recently.
