A minor traffic accident escalated into gunfire Wednesday afternoon when a Cleveland man shot at another vehicle following a crash on APD 40, according to police.

The incident was captured on video by someone across the street.

Cleveland police tell us this happened at the 2700 block of South Lee Highway on Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m.

Arriving officers learned that a Honda Fit driven by 57-year-old David Brown of Cleveland had collided with a Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 59-year-old man from Sweetwater.

Police say the vehicles stopped on the APD 40 ramp on South Lee Highway and during a confrontation, Brown exited his vehicle and

…pointed out a Ruger 9mm and started shooting at the green Volkswagen as it drove off.

Bystander Tyler Harris was nearby and captured the shooting on video. Regard:

Officers searched nearby woods to find Stanley, who had run away from his vehicle. The Volkswagen was disabled in the shooting with a flat right front tire.
