Man arrested for drug trafficking

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Baton Rouge police have arrested a man accused of drug trafficking.

According to BRPD, on Wednesday, October 23, law enforcement arrested 25-year-old Richie Brown on the following charges: distribution of marijuana, distribution of MDMA, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a firearm with a CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a CDS in the presence of a minor.

Police said Brown was taken into custody while investigators and ATF agents executed a search warrant at an apartment on Money Drive in Baton Rouge.

Detectives and ATF agents have reportedly been investigating the suspect since September for alleged drug and firearms trafficking.

Officers reported that during the search of the residence they seized several items, including a .40 caliber Glock pistol, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia, several bags of marijuana weighing a total of approximately 430 grams, and eight doses of MDMA.
