Saturday's stabbing in NE Lacey was not a random incident, police say. Here's what happened

A 26-year-old woman was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of second-degree assault after she stabbed her husband in the chest, according to police.

Around 3 a.m., Lacey police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Willamette Drive Northeast after receiving an initial report of a man on the run who had been stabbed.

Police arrived and found the man bleeding from the chest. He was treated at the scene by Lacey Fire District 3 crews and then transported to an area hospital, Sgt. Jeremy Knight said Sunday.

Police later determined it was not a random incident but the result of domestic violence, he said.
