Shrewsbury crash kills 1

SHREWBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – One person has died in a crash in Shrewsbury around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to Vermont State Police, a car was traveling south on Cold River Rd., crossed the center line, left the roadway and struck a guardrail. The car then crashed head-on into a tree.

Police are not releasing the victim's name but say the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
