Savannah man out on bail for murder, arrested on animal cruelty charges

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A Savannah man out on bond for murder was arrested this weekend on 27 counts related to animal cruelty and dog fighting.

Isaiah Nicholas Goodman, 35, was arrested by Garden City Police on July 4, 2020 for the murder of Michael Peguese.

This happened four years ago on Oak Street, just ten months later Goodman was released on bail. There are additional allegations from Pooler police involving Goodman that we are still waiting to confirm.

He is charged with 12 counts of animal cruelty, six counts of aggravated animal cruelty and nine counts of dog fighting.

Goodman remains in the Chatham County Jail as his bond has not yet been set.
