Jersey leak: New adidas goalkeeper jerseys released for elite clubs, including Bayern Munich

The 2024/25 season is only three months old, and yet we are already getting new kit leaks for the 2025/26 season. Well, yes, in a way.

Well, this isn't exactly a Bayern Munich-specific leak. Adidas has just released the new template for its goalkeeper jerseys for the following season, specifically for its “elite club” lineup. Bayern are of course part of this coveted line-up, which also includes Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal FC, Juventus, Liverpool, Newcastle United and AS Roma, the latter of which has had an absolute blast with its current home kit. Take a look.

Anyway, back to Bayern. The new goalkeeper jersey template will be used by all elite clubs as usual. According to the good folks at Footy Headlines, this time with X user @Rode1Kits, the template is based on the 25 Tiro Goalkeeper Competition jersey.

Aside from the ripple effects that point outward from the jersey's chest sponsor, there's nothing special about the design. It's definitely a more subtle look than, well, whatever you call the current season's template.

The sleeves appear to have lighter shades than the body. This begs the question: Will adidas bring long-sleeve shirts back to market, or will it stick with the short-sleeve shirt/long-sleeve undershirt combination it has tried in previous seasons? That remains to be seen.

If the leaked images are to be believed, Bayern's main colorway appears to be green, just like Arsenal and Newcastle. Juventus and Man United will be blue, Liverpool and Roma will be black and Real Madrid will appear alone in purple. There will most likely be debate among fans as to whether adidas is simply lazily copying the same design and color for multiple clubs. However, as always, each club receives jerseys in several color variations, depending on the game and opponent.
