Buyer finds X-rated printing error on packaging of Mattel's Wicked dolls

fans of the Evil Screen adjustment have pointed out an X-rating error on the box of Mattel toys made for the franchise.

The Evil The film, starring pop star Ariana Grande and actress Cynthia Erivo, is being marketed with a series of limited-edition Mattel dolls, which are also available in Australia.

A shopper in the US noticed that a film link printed on the back of some boxes was not directing fans to a website dedicated to the film as intended.

Instead, people are redirected to a pornographic website.

“The official Mattel Evil “Dolls link to a porn site on the packaging,” said one X user who noticed the error, sharing a video pointing to the link.

Mattel had intended to direct users to WickedMovie.com rather than the website printed on the affected boxes.

The Mattel dolls are available in Australia via Kmart for $49 each.

It is unclear whether the misprint is on the packaging of Wicked dolls sold at Kmart in Australia.

9news.com.au has contacted Kmart for comment.

Mattel released a statement yesterday apologizing for the error.

“Mattel has been made aware of a printing error on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked Collection dolls, sold primarily in the United States, that was intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,” the statement said.

“We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to correct it. Parents are advised that the misprinted and inaccurate website is not suitable for children.”

“Consumers who already own the product are advised to discard the product packaging or cover the link. You can contact Mattel customer service for more information.”
