The Suns lose to the Kings in overtime, suffering their first home loss of the season

The Phoenix Suns were unable to prevail against the Sacramento Kings in overtime on Sunday, losing 127-118.

This came after the Kings gave Phoenix a chance to win with a foul on an inbounds that allowed Devin Booker to tie the game with a free throw before the Suns kept the ball with 3.9 seconds left.

Booker would have had a good chance to win the game in regulation time with a three-pointer from the right corner at the buzzer, but he failed.

Bradley Beal scored the first points of overtime, but DeMar DeRozan, who finished second in last year's Clutch Player of the Year voting, scored eight straight points to give Sacramento a commanding lead.

Beal, who went down early in the period before staying in the game, had four points, but Sacramento guard De'Aaron Fox had four straight possessions to stay ahead of Phoenix.

The game marked the end of Phoenix's seven-game winning streak and the end of the Suns' perfect home record, which now stands at 5-1.

Next up for the Suns is their first game of the Emirates NBA Cup, which will be played in Utah against the Jazz on Tuesday at 7pm MST.
