Venom actor Tom Hardy watched Akshay Kumar's 'Brothers' and thought it was 'cool'

Hollywood actor Tom Hardy, known for his captivating portrayal of Venom, recently shared his thoughts on Bollywood and his experiences in an exclusive interview with India Today Digital. The 47-year-old actor said that although he knows Bollywood films, he needs to watch more of them.

During the conversation, Hardy showed his admiration for Bollywood films and mentioned that he has seen the films Indian remake of Warriortitled Brothers, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar.

He expressed his interest and said, “You know what? I watched the Indian version of Warrior which I thought was cool. A long time ago I was asked to do a film called Bollywood Queen (2002), a James McAvoy film. So I know Bollywood and Indian films very well. But I need to see a lot more of it. It's huge. You have some huge stars there.”

Hardy also expressed his desire to visit India one day, stating: “Absolutely. I would like that. And then you can tell me, show me what I need to see and who’s who and everything.”

The actor reflected on the conclusion of the Venom franchise: “Part of me says, 'Well, we'll get back to work in the morning,' but we won't. The office is empty, so that hasn't happened yet. But the opportunity to be part of something and come in as a relatively small cog in the wheel… it was a university of filmmaking for both of us,” he said, referring to his collaboration with writer and producer Kelly Marcel.

He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the growth he has experienced through the franchise, stating, “I have to thank Venom for this opportunity and Sony for grooming us, letting us grow in a good way in the appropriate way to develop ourselves as professionals and as artists.” . So, yeah, it’s a bittersweet thing.”

Venom: The Last Dance is scheduled to hit theaters on October 24th.
