One was arrested following a pursuit in Southmayd

SOUTHMAYD, Texas (KXII) – A pursuit in Southmayd led to the arrest of one person Saturday.

According to Southmayd Police, a car was driving recklessly on SH-289.

When an officer attempted to stop the driver, they turned off their headlights and drove at high speeds while passing cars on the side of the road.

The driver, Hadi Khalili from Southmayd, eventually pulled over in his driveway where he was arrested for evading arrest.

According to online records, Khalili was in the Grayson County Jail but has since posted $20,000 bail.
