What role will the Penguin play in the sequel to The Batman?

As The Penguin spin-off nears its conclusion, Colin Farrell could be playing him again in The Batman sequel, although even he is tight on details.

Just because Bruce Wayne won't be on HBO's The penguin That doesn't mean Colin Farrell will waddle away from the film's sequel. It's just that Farrell doesn't go into much detail and doesn't even fully confirm what exactly that is The Batman If anything, a follow-up is planned for Oz Cobb.

Oz Cobb aka the Penguin, played by Farrell, was a breakout character and the people behind the scenes felt this would be the case as his spin-off series was already in talks The Batman even hit screens. Since the series itself is now an insanely popular hit and one of the best reviewed in years (read our 10/10 review here), it's almost certain that it will continue to be developed further. As Farrell put it: “I have no idea what the second film will be. I heard penguin elements in it. I haven't read it. It would be interesting to see where we go from here. So many pipes were laid. It would be interesting to see what happens next, you know? But he would be completely different.”

“Completely different” is an understatement, as Cobb went through a lot in his eponymous series – certainly more than he could be given credit for The Batman. There is only one episode left (aired on). November 10th), we can't wait to see what state the series leaves Cobb in. While Farrell may be keeping a low profile when it comes to how much he knows about Oz Cobb's future The Batman In the sequel, we love his enthusiasm and commitment to the character. Unlike Cobb, it's ultimately not just about money.

What faces in the Batman James Gunn has refuted rumors that Barry Keoghan's Joker would get its own spin-off series, despite villains other than The Penguin making their way to cinemas. While that sounds promising, maybe we all need a little break from the Clown Prince of Crime…
