Honda is recalling 720,000 vehicles due to the risk of fuel leaks

Honda has launched a recall of more than 720,000 of its most popular vehicles in the U.S. to search for a defect that could lead to fuel leaks and fires. Registered owners of affected models will be contacted in December with instructions on how to bring them in for a free inspection.

In announcing the recall, Honda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that due to a manufacturing problem, certain Honda CR-Vs, Accords and Civics are at risk of cracks in the high-pressure fuel pump, which can worsen if the Vehicle inside is use.
