SEDGWICK COUNTY – Law enforcement is investigating after five shooting victims were found in Wichita.

Shortly before 6 p.m. Police responded to a death investigation at a residence in the 1700 block of Sante Fe in Wichita on Sunday, according to police spokesman Andrew Ford. First responders found a male victim who appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.

Shortly thereafter, officers conducted a follow-up investigation at another residence in the 1900 block of S. Laura, where they discovered three additional victims with apparent gunshot wounds.

During a neighborhood search for Laura, an officer checked another apartment by looking through a window and discovered what appeared to be another victim in the living room. Officers forced entry and found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

At this time, we believe all victims are known to each other and there is no outstanding suspect or ongoing threat to the community. Police suspect one of the victims could be the possible shooter.
