Frederick Brown was arrested after a traffic stop on I-65

PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A Tennessee man with an arrest warrant for aggravated assault was arrested following a traffic stop on I-65 early Monday.

Priceville police said Frederick Brown, 53, was arrested for minor traffic violations just before 2 p.m.

During the course of the stop, police learned that there were warrants for Brown's arrest from the Maury County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee for aggravated assault.

Police said Brown has been charged with firearms, assault and stalking in the past.

He was taken to the Morgan County Jail and charged as a fugitive from justice. He is being held without bail awaiting extradition to Tennessee.
