Harris County crash: Couple hospitalized after suspected domestic violence incident

Authorities say a crash in northern Harris County that sent two people to the hospital is believed to be due to domestic violence.

The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Aldine Bender.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the incident appears to have started with an argument between a couple at a home. A man left the home in one vehicle and the woman gave chase in another vehicle, the sheriff says.

Authorities say the woman rammed the man's vehicle, causing him to crash into an awning and leave the road.

Both were taken to hospital. According to the information, the man was in good condition. The woman underwent surgery and was said to be in critical condition.
