Pro-Palestinian Protesters Plan Rally Against Veterans Day at Columbia University: 'Disgusting'

Pro-Palestinian protesters at Columbia University are organizing a rally against Veterans Day to instead celebrate “the martyrs of the Israeli-American war machine,” just months after a congressional investigation into anti-Semitism on Ivy League campuses was launched.

According to a flyer for the rally, the protest is planned for noon Monday, Veterans Day, at the Sundial, which the university describes as a “highly trafficked location and is often used as a campus landmark for gatherings.”

“We reject this holiday and refuse to celebrate it. The American war machine should not be honored for the horrors it has inflicted on others,” reads the flyer promoted on social media.

“Instead, we will celebrate Martyrs’ Day in honor of those who were martyred at the hands of the Israeli-American war machine,” the leaflet said.
