A Georgia football player was caught on video jumping up and down with Ole Miss fans after Saturday's loss

On3 – A lot of emotions came out in Oxford when Ole Miss beat Georgia in Week 11, but one surprising moment was caught on camera involving Bulldogs defenseman Jake Pope.

The safety appeared to be in a celebratory mood after Georgia's loss, smiling and jumping up and down with the family, or at least a group of supporters, of Rebels offensive lineman Reece McIntyre.

Pope and McIntyre hail from the same hometown of Buford, Georgia, where they both played high school football for the Buford Wolves. It makes sense why Pope would be happy to see the McIntyre clan again, but that doesn't mean Bulldogs fans will be thrilled to see one of their defenders so happy after a demoralizing defeat.

#22 Jake Pope is listed as a safety for the Georgia Bulldogs. Without looking up his stats, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he doesn't do particularly well in Georgia's secondary. That's not the hair of a guy who just played four quarters of SEC football. Not nearly sweaty enough. Way too straight. Lies too flat on the head.

When I looked up the guy, I discovered that this is Jake Pope's first year at Georgia. He moved there after spending two seasons on the bench at Alabama (though he apparently played a little on special teams). So he probably thought that if he couldn't get the Crimson Tide to safety, then Georgia's defense could certainly use a 5'11 White. Or maybe he thought that without Nick Saban at the helm, the University of Alabama would no longer live up to the standards of a school where Jake felt comfortable not playing.

Ok, sorry that was harsh. And unfair. According to 24/7 Sports, Jake Pope was actually a 4-star recruit out of high school (although he was only a 3-star transfer). Alabama's Malachi Moore even said some great things about him. He had a huge hit in Alabama's spring game.

So maybe he has a future with an SEC school. I'm sure he's just someone who thought he'd rather sit on the bench for three, four or seven years (no matter how much eligibility the kids have these days) and maybe one day have the chance to play meaningful football for the national team as championship contenders. As opposed to banging his head against the wall and putting his body through hell to lead UAB to a huge victory in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl in his senior year. Worst case scenario, he ends up sitting on the Georgia bench for the rest of his career, imprisoning a smoking hot Alpha Phi girl who he marries and has four beautiful pureblood children with when they graduate from college.

However, sitting on the bench and enjoying all the perks that come with playing for a national championship contender like the Georgia Bulldogs can only embarrass them. You can't be caught celebrating with the other team. Driving 100 miles per hour in a school zone, being arrested for speeding on the highway, multiple DUIs, assault, domestic violence, beating your children, these are all perfectly fine in Georgia. Nobody cares about that. Everyone makes mistakes. But if you do something Really embarrassing the team…like jumping up and down the field with some old friends you haven't seen in a long time after a tough loss to Ole Miss. That's something the good Christian football fans of the Georgia Bulldogs simply won't tolerate.

This has to be better, Jake. I'm not sure Kirby Smart can let this go. I'm afraid he'll have to make an example of you. Teach yourself a difficult lesson. You will be forced to pack your bags and join another SEC team competing for the national championship. Probably Ole Miss. This will show you.
