An 18-year-old from Ligonier has been missing and found dead since September, according to the coroner

LIGONIER, Ind. (WPTA) – The Noble County Coroner's Office says 18-year-old Brannon O'Dell, who was reported missing in Ligonier in late September, has been found dead.

O'Dell's mother says he was last seen by a Pizza Hut delivery driver on Tuesday evening, September 24th.

He was subsequently reported missing to the Ligonier Police Department and Missing People in America, which determined he had been in contact with a friend and his fiancée around 10 p.m. that evening. He allegedly told his fiancée he was going outside “to look for bugs and lizards.”

The organization said his phone was last turned on behind surrounding homes around 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25. They said his wallet, ID, earbuds, backpack, keys and shoes, as well as his medication, were left inside.

The Noble County Coroner's Office says O'Dell was found dead later on Friday, October 4th. They say they positively identified him through DNA testing on Thursday, October 24th.

His cause and manner of death are currently unknown.
