College Station police arrest two juveniles accused of attempting to break into 16 vehicles

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A College Station police officer on patrol Sunday morning is credited with arresting two teenagers accused of trying to break into more than a dozen vehicles.

The officer was patrolling the area of ​​Luther Street and Montclair Avenue due to a recent increase in motor vehicle break-ins when the teens were seen walking through a city park from the Southgate Village apartments around 4 a.m. and then went to Montclair Avenue.

According to arrest reports, the officer witnessed Teddy Walker, 17, and Charles Harrell Jr., 18, pulling on the door handles of 16 vehicles between the 600 and 800 blocks of Montclair Avenue.

Police say Harrell eventually managed to get into a pickup truck while Walker stood on the street as a lookout.

According to police, the two then continued toward Fidelity Street, where officers arrested them and took them into custody.

Both are charged with breaking into vehicles and violating curfew.

Harrell is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Online jail records show Walker was denied bail after being arrested in September in Bryan on charges of theft of property valued between $2,500 and $30,000 and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
