'SNL's' Chloe Fineman names Elon Musk as the host who made her cry

Saturday Night LiveChloe Fineman dropped a bombshell on TikTok on Monday when she identified Elon Musk as the man who made her cry while hosting the show in 2021 – appearing to put an end to a mystery that began last summer her castmate Bowen Yang.

In the video, which one The Hollywood Reporter Before Fineman deleted it, the comedian said she was inspired to speak out after seeing Musk complain on X about Dana Carvey's impression of him in the show's final episode.

“You know what? I'm finally going to come out and say that I'm the performer he made cry. And he's the host who made someone cry,” Fineman reportedly said. “When you walk onto your platform and you're rude, guess what? You made me, Chloe Fineman, burst into tears because I stayed up late writing a sketch. I was so excited that I came in and asked if you had any questions and you stared as if They fired me from Tesla and said, 'That's not funny.'”

Fineman continued that Musk went through her script line by line and told her that he “didn't laugh once.” But the sketch in question, the THR speculates whether the Icelandic talk show parody “The Oooli Show” actually aired despite his objections.

“I actually had a really great time and thought you were really funny in that,” Fineman said generously. “But, you know, have some manners here… sir.”

It was back in August when Yang made headlines with his revelation See what's happening live! that an unnamed male presenter “had brought several cast members to tears before the table read on Wednesday because he hated the ideas.”

This admission led to widespread speculation about who the culprit might be, with Musk at the top of most lists. Last weekend, after being parodied in the opening monologue, Musk tweeted that the show has been “slowly dying for years.”
