Two men charged in the Dove Drive shooting are due in court Tuesday

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

Two men charged in a fatal shooting on Dove Drive in June 2023 will appear in court for an arraignment hearing Tuesday morning at the Boone County Courthouse.

Deljuan Turner and Damarkus Williams face charges for the first time since their charges were upgraded from second-degree murder to first-degree murder. An arraignment today means they will be asked to enter a plea, marking the start of the legal process since the charges were raised.

Turner and Williams are two of seven men accused of killing Deshon Houston on Dove Drive in June 2023. Deazes Turner, Alquez Jones, Jajuan Crocket and Ja'Shoun Barney are the other accused shooters whose charges were upgraded to first-degree murder.

Bryton Allen, who was also charged in the shooting, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in June.
