A day before jury selection begins, lawyers for a man accused of killing Lakin Riley are back in court

ATHENS, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Attorneys for nursing student Laken Riley's accused murderer will appear in an Athens-Clarke County courtroom Tuesday morning.

A hearing for Jose Ibarra is scheduled a day before jury selection begins for his trial.

The hearing could focus on what evidence and testimony the jury can see and hear.

This came after an Athens judge rejected a request to exclude cell phone and social media evidence in the trial.

Ibarra is accused of killing Riley on the University of Georgia campus in February.
