Cybersecurity incident impacts Stop & Shop operations

Stop & Shop's parent company has reported a cybersecurity issue affecting its US network, but the impact on customers remains unclear.

The company recognized the problem, initiated an investigation and notified law enforcement. Their statement said: “The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority.”

All 83 Stop & Shop locations in Connecticut remain open and accepting online payments, although some pharmacies and e-commerce operations will be affected.
