Broncos WR Josh Reynolds injured in shootout

Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds As 9News' Janet Oravitz reports, she suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting happened last week outside a strip club.

According to court documents, Reynolds suffered injuries to the back of his head and left arm in a shooting on the morning of Oct. 18. Reynolds and another man were injured in the shooting, Oravetz reports. The shooting occurred hours after the Broncos' victory over the Saints; According to IR, Reynolds did not travel with the team to New Orleans for this game.

The Broncos signed Reynolds to a two-year, $9 million contract this offseason. He is currently on IR for a finger injury not related to this incident. The team placed the veteran wideout on IR nearly a week before shooting. Given this incident, this obviously becomes a secondary concern for the team.

Reynolds, 29, left the club with friends just before 3 a.m. on Oct. 18. Two drivers followed Reynolds and the men he was with, and gunfire ensued shortly thereafter. The victims said there was no conflict within the club, according to court documents. The car Reynolds was traveling in became disabled as it entered the highway and the men inside fled. Reynolds and the two men accompanying him also suffered injuries when they climbed over a fence to avoid the gunmen.

Police arrested two men on Wednesday in connection with the crime. Security footage from the Shotgun Willies club showed that one of the arrested men observed the victims in the club and then followed them in a vehicle. It's unclear how serious Reynolds' injuries are, but this is obviously a concerning situation for him and the Broncos.

More will follow.
