2 injured in shooting in Pittsburgh area

HOMESTEAD, Pa. – Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting incident that left two men injured Monday.

At 5:41 p.m., 911 was notified that shots were fired at a residence in the 1700 block of McClure Street. First responders found a man with a lower leg injury sustained when he jumped out of a window during the shooting. He was not struck by gunfire but was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

A short time later, a gunshot victim came privately to a local hospital and said he had been shot at the same location in Homestead. The man was shot in the face and stomach and is also in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the two injured men had shot at each other in the apartment.

Police did not say whether charges were filed.
