“Rams' Sean McVay shares his thoughts on frustrating loss”

The Los Angeles Rams looked like they were starting to put it all together after the first through fourth seasons began. However, injuries and a demanding schedule resulted in a difficult start for the Rams.

The Rams had gotten healthier in recent weeks, adding to their three-game winning streak entering Monday night's game. Still, the Rams needed a win against the Dolphins to keep pace with the Arizona Cardinals in the division.

The Cardinals are in first place in the NFC West. The Rams and Cardinals entered this week's game on a three-game winning streak. The Cardinals won on Sunday, which made the Rams' game against the Dolphins even more meaningful.

Los Angeles entered Monday's duel with the Dolphins, who wanted to impose their will on the seemingly inferior team. However, much like the Rams, the Dolphins not long ago returned one of their top offensive threats: quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' offense would keep the Rams' defense off balance all night long. The Dolphins defense disrupted quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense throughout the game. McVay explained what it felt like watching his team fight.

“Frustration,” McVay said when asked how he felt during the game.

“I think the same as everyone else, because there are ways for us to make this happen. I believe in these guys,” McVay said.

“Here's the thing, and you know this: We're all in this together. We have to be able to look at it and we have to constantly figure out the best way to get our guys in the right spots.

“And I'm trying to figure out something like an identity. Whatever I say will be an excuse. Frustration is the answer to your original question, and we need to get better.”

McVay noted that the Rams must Clean up your game over the next few weeks to secure a spot in the playoffs.

“I think there were a lot of times where we weren't consistent enough, especially if you just look at it from… careless? Yes,” McVay said

“I mean, there were some executions that need to be better and I want to be able to go back and look at the tape, but those are things that we need to be able to clean up if we want to be the type of team that is.” .

“Especially from an offensive perspective, we need to be able to play better and perform consistently better with 11 players.”
