2 Elmhurst residents charged with domestic battery

ELMHURST, IL – Over the past few days, Elmhurst Police have arrested people for domestic violence, retail theft and drunk driving. Here is information from the most recent Elmhurst arrest log:

Household battery

  • A 33-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 300 block of East Ridge Avenue was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday on two counts of domestic violence. Police said the woman hit a man during an argument. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 48-year-old Elmhurst man, who lives in the 400 block of North Emery Lane, was arrested at his home on a domestic battery charge around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. According to police, the man threw a cardboard box at a person. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 66-year-old Elmhurst man, who lives in the 500 block of Hill Street, was arraigned around 11 a.m. Friday on charges of allowing an animal to jump around in public and threatening others and failing to have the animal vaccinated against rabies. A woman told officers that the man's dog reached through a gap in the fence and bit her dog on the nose, causing an injury, police said. She was walking her dog. DuPage County Animal Services was notified.

Retail theft

  • Mirsulton Yusopov, 27, of Mount Prospect, was arrested Thursday on charges of burglary and retail theft. A 23-year-old Mount Prospect man was arrested for retail theft. They were arrested in connection with an incident Thursday around 6:30 p.m. at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. Yusopov was taken to the DuPage County Jail while the 23-year-old was released.
  • Eric T. Nilsen, 45, of Chicago, was arrested Friday around 4:30 p.m. on charges of burglary, shoplifting, driving a car with a suspended registration and driving an uninsured car. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Waukesha County, Wisconsin. Police said he stole boxes of merchandise from Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 37-year-old Wood Dale man was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue on charges of driving under the influence, driving without a valid license and having open alcohol by a driver. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 67-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at York and Hale streets around 3 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving under the influence (DUI), failure to obey a stop sign, improper lighting and possession of open alcohol. She was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 25-year-old Joliet man was arrested around 2 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and St. Charles Road on charges of driving under the influence, illegal possession of marijuana by a driver, possession of alcohol by a driver, the arrested for improper use of registration and driving without insurance car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
