Man accused of killing a 29-year-old in a road rage brawl appears in court

The man accused of killing a 29-year-old in Morris Heights appeared in court Thursday.

Clemente Boateng is accused of killing then-29-year-old Ronald Gomez Mesa after a street fight broke out in Phelon Place on July 2.

Mesa's family called for no further delays and justice outside the Bronx Criminal Court. “To see you face to face with someone who actually killed your brother. It’s hard,” Mesa’s sister said.

“I want justice because my son was not a criminal,” Mesa’s mother told News 12.

Boateng is due back in court next month.
