Song Jae Rim, the well-known South Korean actor, was found dead in his apartment in Seoul, according to a statement from Seoul's Seongdong Police Station. He was only 39 years old. The death of Song Jae Rim has left the Korean entertainment industry in a state of deep shock.

The cause of Song Jae Rim's death has yet to be determined prior to the investigation. However, authorities noted that there were “no signs of foul play.” A two-leaf leaf was reportedly later discovered at the scene. According to Korean media reports, Song Jae Rim's funeral will take place on Thursday at a funeral home in Yeouido.

This change adds an air of mystery and sadness to his untimely death, as it seemed to indicate a personal change that fans were reportedly never able to fully understand.

The tragic news of Song Jae Rim's death comes just weeks after his recent public appearance. He had been promoting his latest dramas “My Military Valentine” and “Queen Woo,” which hit theaters earlier this year. His last guest appearance was on MBC FM4U's Good Morning FM in August, where he told light-hearted jokes about his future goals, including his efforts to become a fragrance expert and meat processing technician, PinkVilla reported.

Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim rose to fame for his role in the 2012 historical drama “The Moon Embraces the Sun,” in which he played loyal bodyguard Kim Jae Won. His acting career continued to flourish with notable roles in “Inspiring Generation,” “Two Weeks,” “Goodbye Mr. Black,” and the 2024 drama “Queen Woo.” He is also known for his appearance on the popular variety show We Got Married alongside actress Kim So Eun in 2014.
