Pennsylvania Turnpike Traffic: Multiple semi-trucks involved in accident on I-276 in Bensalem Township, Bucks County

BENSALEM TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — The westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike is closed at Interstate 95 South after several tractor-trailers were involved in a crash.

On Tuesday, several tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on I-276 in Bensalem, Bucks County.

It happened Tuesday morning on Interstate 276 at milepost 351.5WB near Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

Chopper 6 was over the scene on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, where a tractor-trailer appears to have crashed into the back of a box truck.

A semi-truck also crashed into the median.

Another semi-truck can also be seen on the highway blocking the road.

It appears no traffic can get through in the westbound lanes.

The PA Turnpike WB is closed between I-95 SB (Exit 40) and the Bensalem Interchange (Exit 351). According to PA Turnpike officials, closures will remain in place until the road is cleared.

Motorists will be detoured onto I-95 SB for approximately 5.2 miles, down to PA 63 West/Woodhaven Rd (Exit 35). From Woodhaven, take US 1 North toward Morrisville onto Roosevelt Blvd, where drivers can rejoin the PA Turnpike at the Bensalem Interchange (Exit 351).

There is no information available about any injuries or the expected duration of the road closure.
