A Wheel of Fortune The contestant went viral after giving a completely wrong answer that resulted in him being teased by the hosts.

While the classic show is set to be relaunched in the UK in 2025 with Graham Norton as host, it remains an appointment show for many in the US, where it is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White.

In the latest episode, which aired on Monday (November 11), Wethersfield, Connecticut police officer Will Jordan was introduced as a player, along with a fellow contestant named Kitina.

Will had a very good start to his round, where he was tasked with guessing a popular six-word phrase, and after discovering more and more letters, the board read: “_ _ _E _OUR_F A ROUND_ OF___OUT.”

He decided to try solving, but instead of saying the correct answer: “Give yourself a round of applause,” he comically exclaimed, “Give yourself a round of sausage.”

When Kitina came over to say the correct answer, Seacrest couldn't help but tease Will about the mistake, which apparently silenced the audience.

“Will, I kind of liked yours better,” he said. “That sounds better than just clapping now.”

Will came in third place and won $8,000. After the show, he clarified his blunder with the show's special correspondent, Maggie Sajak.

He said he knew he would be teased by his friends and colleagues at home, saying: “When I come back I'll definitely have sausages in my locker and in the police car, so we'll try to have a bit of fun with it .”It.”

However, Will admitted that it would all have been worth it if Maggie's father had talked about the wrong answer.
