Cam Bynum wants to collaborate with Raygun after tribute goes viral

Now that Raygun has become aware of Cam Bynum, he hopes the two can work together in the future.

The Vikings safety went viral in Sunday's win over the Jaguars for mimicking the Australian breakdancer's much-publicized routine from the 2024 Paris Olympics as he celebrated an interception, and Raygun himself took notice, calling the homage “wild” and said she “love[d]it.”

Bynum, 26, was thrilled with Raygun's reaction and wants to connect with her in the offseason.

“A thousand percent,” Bynum told TMZ Sports. “Whether it’s a fight – I don’t know, I’m not that good of a dancer so she’ll probably kill me. She’s a world-class dancer.”

Bynum recorded his third interception of the season when he tackled Mac Jones in the fourth quarter of the Vikings' 12-7 win, and he immediately performed Raygun's bizarre routine.

He's not surprised by the attention he's received.

“Not at all. That was the plan behind the whole celebration,” Bynum said. “I'm a big fan of Raygun, especially after the Olympics when we all found out about her, and I saw her pop up again recently. But ever since I saw her do that dance and her performance at the Olympics, I thought, “I have to bring that back in an NFL game.” I don't think anyone would have the guts to do that. So I memorized it and she did studied.”

The 37-year-old Raygun, whose real name is Rachael Gunn, did not score a single point in her three rounds of competition in Paris.

She recently hinted that she would be retiring from some competitions, but made it clear that she will not be retiring.

“You’re trying to stop me. “I’ll never stop dancing,” she told “Today” host Sarah Abdo. “So if you hear that again, you know it’s not the truth.”
