Johns Island man arrested in shooting and charged with attempted murder

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – A man has been charged in connection with a shooting over the weekend, according to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

Andrew Michael Fulp, 44, of Johns Island, was arrested Saturday evening and charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.

Officers were called to a home in the 3300 block of Old Pond Road around 7 p.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting in the area.

Upon arrival, they located two people in the front yard of the home and subsequently arrested Fulp.

The victim was taken to MUSC for treatment.

Fulp was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center and held on bail totaling $60,000.

It is not yet clear what led to the shooting.
