Man shot in drug-related shooting at Antioch apartments

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department's Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting Monday night that they believe stemmed from a drug deal at an apartment complex in Antioch.

MNPD believes drugs were involved in the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Jacori D. Wynn. The victim was shot in an alley outside the Novo Hickory Highlands Apartments on Rural Hill Road.

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting around 8 p.m. and found Wynn injured with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but died shortly afterwards.

Wynn was believed to be in an apartment in the 300 building before the shooting, MNPD said.
