A teenager stabs police officers at a police station in Bosnia, killing one and injuring another

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina – A teenager broke into a police station in northwestern Bosnia on Thursday, killing one officer with a knife and wounding another, police said.

The attack occurred around 9 p.m. in the town of Bosanska Krupa. The attacker, born in 2009, walked into the local police station and stabbed officers in a “completely unprovoked” attack, spokesman Adnan Beganovic told the Associated Press.

The suspect has been arrested and police and prosecutors are working to determine the motive and all circumstances of the attack, Beganovic said. He said the injured officer was taken to the hospital.

Further details were initially not known.

Bosanska Krupa is located about 200 kilometers (120 miles) northwest of the Bosnian capital Sarajevo.
