Two men arrested in Forestdale drug raid

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. – The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that two men were arrested last week during the execution of multiple search warrants in Forestdale and charged with drug trafficking.

On Nov. 7, investigators from the Jefferson County Vice and Narcotics Division, the SWAT team and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service executed the search warrants at a business in the 1900 block of Veterans Memorial Drive and a residence in the 800 block of Brandy Circle.

During the searches, law enforcement seized 1,182 grams of cocaine, 6.38 grams of oxycodone, 3.63 grams of hydrocodone, 11.9 grams of marijuana, 158 grams of gummy bears, 19 Suboxone strips and 1.12 grams of Adderall.

An Anderson Manufacturing AR 15, S&W MP.45 caliber rifle and a Glock 19 9mm were also confiscated.

Philmore Ware, 41, was charged with two counts of drug trafficking and is being held on $1,005,000 bond.

His nephew, 22-year-old Jakoby Ware, also was charged with drug trafficking and is being held on $1 million bail.

Both suspects are in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
