Drugs, firearms and alligators seized in drug raid in Wayne Co

WAYNE CO., Mich. (WNEM) – A surprise guest appeared during a drug raid by the Michigan State Police Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET).

MSP said MNET executed a search warrant in a Downriver community on Nov. 12.

According to MSP, investigators seized more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of heroin, six grams of cocaine, 371 grams of various pills including oxycodone, gabapentin and acetaminophen, and nine firearms.

According to MSP, there was an alligator in the house and a surprise guest.

According to MSP, the alligator was surrendered to a local animal shelter.

MSP said the suspect has been arrested and the prosecutor's review is pending.
