Man arrested for murder of Kasim Hassan Turner in South Jackson MS

Jackson police announced Tuesday afternoon that an arrest had been made in connection with the September murder of Kasim Hassan Turner.

According to a news release, police have arrested 27-year-old Jawonza Dixon and charged him with murder in connection with the murder case.

Police said Turner, 28, was fatally shot multiple times on Sept. 5 at Maddox Road and TV Road in South Jackson. Turner's body was discovered in the street.

No details were immediately released about what led to the shooting.
