The district attorney says the death at a Pennsylvania nursing home is being investigated as an attempted suicide

The death of a woman at a Chester County retirement home is being investigated as an attempted suicide, the Chester County District Attorney's Office said Thursday evening.

According to the news release, East Coventry police and Chester County Crime Stoppers are investigating the death of an 89-year-old woman at the Manatawny Manor nursing home on Old Schuylkill Road.

Officials said there is no danger to the public or anyone else at the nursing home and no other injuries have been reported.
