Criminal complaint filed in fatal motorcycle accident in Renville County

RENVILLE COUNTY, N.D. (KMOT) – Prosecutors have filed criminal charges against a Minot man in a fatal motorcycle accident in September.

According to court documents, William Foondle faces a Class B felony count of involuntary manslaughter and a Class C felony count of involuntary manslaughter.

According to the information, Foondle caused the death of the female victim by causing a motorcycle accident while under the influence of alcohol.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol previously reported that Foondle was riding his motorcycle on Renville County Road 26 near Grano when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road.

Foondle's passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the probable cause statement, Foondle told investigators he was trying to catch up to other motorcycles and admitted he had been drinking.

The probable cause report states that investigators found two of six clues when Foondle was tested for vision. The report also states that Foondle suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Foondle was released on $5,000 bail. He is due back in court for a status conference on December 5.

According to online court records, Foondle did not have a listed attorney as of Tuesday afternoon.
