Auto Theft in Andover, MA, Tuesday Traffic Disturbance Investigation – NBC Boston

A person may have fired a gun and then stolen an SUV at gunpoint in a traffic accident in Andover, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, police said.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was in custody over the incidents, but Andover police said they were investigating.

The first incident occurred in Shawsheen Square, as police wrote in a statement: “It appears the suspected car thief fired the weapon in this incident.”

Then, around 4:15 p.m., a person in an Acura SUV was stolen at gunpoint near Route 133, police said. Nobody was injured.
