Cochran County Judge confirms Sheriff Jorge De La Cruz's death

MORTON, Texas (KCBD) – This evening, Cochran County Judge Pat Sabala Henry confirmed the death of Sheriff Jorge De La Cruz.

Henry said De Le Cruz will be missed and was a valued member of the community. He recently ran unopposed in the November general election and was re-elected as sheriff.

No details surrounding his death have been released, according to Cochran County. They expect more information to be released on Wednesday.
