Eight people were arrested following a drug raid at a “well-known hub” in Sweetwater, police said

SWEETWATER, Tenn. (WVLT) – Sweetwater Police said several people were arrested Saturday after a search warrant was executed at a home on Monroe Street.

SPD said the home was a “known hub for illegal drug activity, including overdoses, assaults and the sale of narcotics,” and stolen property was also found there.

After an extensive investigation with a search warrant, the SPD announced that the following eight people were arrested at the scene for various drug-related offenses:

  • Jonathan Moore
  • Loretta Lake
  • Jason McIntosh
  • Sarah Lynn
  • David Neloms
  • Rebecca Burrell
  • Sarah Sawyer

Officials also said arrest warrants had been issued for a ninth person.

“Protecting our community members from the negative effects of drug use and keeping our public safe is an important priority for us,” said Chief Byrum.

SPD took the opportunity to tell residents not to hesitate to call authorities if they see anything suspicious or have concerns about criminal activity.
