Denzel Washington confirms his role in Black Panther 3 with Ryan Coogler in the lead

Denzel Washington will join this Black panther Universe. The legendary actor is currently promoting his role in Ridley Scott's upcoming film Gladiator 2announced that he will appear in Black Panther 3with director Ryan Coogler writing a role specifically for him.

Received during an interview by deadlineThe two-time Oscar winner was asked about ongoing fears surrounding his career, particularly his involvement in blockbuster films like Gladiator 2. Washington responded candidly, explaining that at this stage of his career he is focused on working with top-notch filmmakers and finding roles that challenge him in new ways.

“At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best. I don't know how many more films I'll do, probably not that many. “I want to do things that I haven’t done yet,” Washington said. He continued by sharing his upcoming projects, mentioning that he would portray Othello at age 70, take on the role of Hannibal, and even collaborate with director Steve McQueen on a future film.

However, it was about his comment Black Panther 3 that got the most attention. Washington added, “After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a role for me in the next part.” Black panther. After that I will make the film Othello. After that I will do it King Lear. After that I will retire.
