Clay County worship leader faces charges of illegal sexual activity with teenagers

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A worship leader at a Clay County church has been accused of engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a teenager who attended the church.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office said the three-month investigation into allegations against Jeremiah Grover began in June.

Grover worked as a worship leader at Elevate Life Church in Oakleaf Plantation. Investigators said the alleged criminal sexual activity involved a 16-year-old church member.

CCSO said Grover traveled to Clay and Duval counties to meet with the teen to engage in sexual offenses.

Grover was arrested for unlawful sexual activity with a minor, traveling to meet a minor, and lewd and lascivious touching and disseminating harmful content to a minor.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe there are other victims.
