Dirt bike rider killed in accident in Cleves

CLEVES, Ohio (WXIX) – A dirt bike rider was killed in a crash involving a FedEx delivery truck in Cleves, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

It happened about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Nebo Road and Timberline Court, and speed is being investigated as a factor, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.

“The FedEx delivery truck was westbound on Mount Nebo Road and turned left to head south on Timberline Court. “The dirt bike was traveling eastbound on Mount Nebo Road when it struck the right front corner area of ​​the FedEx delivery truck,” she said in a statement Tuesday night.

The male driver of the dirt bike was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

His name will not be released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the van was not injured, according to the sheriff's office.
