The U.S. women's national soccer team will play its first game since winning the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics on August 10.

In total, the USWNT will play three friendlies to close out the month of October, including two against Iceland, with the first taking place on Thursday evening in Austin, Texas. The team will also play against Argentina.

USWNT coach Emma Hayes named 18 Olympic team members to her 26-man squad for these friendlies. Hayes also brought in six uncapped players to make their USWNT debuts: defenders Eva Gaetino, Alyssa Malonson and Emily Sams, midfielder Hal Hershfelt and forwards Yazmeen Ryan and Emma Sears.

Thursday's game will be the 16th time the USWNT will face Iceland, having compiled a record of 13 wins, 2 draws and no losses against Iceland. The last meeting took place in the final of the 2022 SheBelieves Cup, which the USA won 5-0.

Following Thursday's game, the USA will play Iceland on Sunday, October 27th at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee before playing Argentina on Wednesday, October 30th at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.
