Albemarle police arrest two juveniles and are searching for the third suspect in the stolen care case

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Albemarle police have arrested two juveniles and are searching for a third male suspect in connection with a chase in a stolen car early Sunday morning.

According to police, the chase occurred around 2:38 a.m. Nov. 10 after a white Mercedes ran a stop sign and nearly hit an officer's car. The chase continued from Arey Avenue to East Main Street until three men slowed on South Morrow Street and jumped out of the car.

At least two of the three men involved are juveniles. One of them was arrested at the scene and another was arrested after K9s were brought in to help with the search.

According to police, each youth had a handgun and resisted arrest. The third person has not yet been caught.

Both teens face multiple felony charges and investigators said they are believed to be the same suspects involved in three other carjackings in the area.
