What Chanel Maya Banks Videos Reveal Before She Goes Missing

A video on Banks' TikTok shows that she married her husband, known only as CJ, in August last year. Her family claimed he was not cooperating with police and told them that Banks “doesn't want to be found, she will come forward when she's ready.”

Newsweek Singh contacted the LAPD via Facebook Messenger and the LAPD for comment on Wednesday morning.

On her first TikTok, Banks showed herself celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah with a family at a home in Aspen, and on the same day she posted a clip of herself singing a song from the musical Evil on the occasion of “Musical Mondays”.

In most of her following videos, she celebrated New Year's Eve with her partner and then joined the vlogging trend of documenting her life and major milestones with a montage of moments and a voiceover describing the events.

Many of the vlogs described a birthday trip to San Diego for her partner's birthday and also the shopping trip he took her on on her birthday.

Another blog showed people how she chose the wedding dress for her wedding by trying on a number of dresses and sharing her thoughts on each dress.

“The day I found THE DRESS 👰🏻‍♀️⛪️🤍,” Banks captioned the post. “I was never the little girl who married my dolls or dreamed of the perfect white dress. I rode kid-sized ATVs 🏎️ and sprayed BB 🔫.”

“Experiencing so much joy in choosing my wedding dress was a true blessing and unexpected joy. The room was beautiful and sunny and choosing the dress for the big day was an absolute pleasure!”

Banks' fiancé appeared regularly in the videos, including tasting fruit with his arms folded to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah.

They also appeared in videos spending time in New York City, which she described as her “homeland,” but she admitted that the moment of the visit was the moment she “left it.”

The actress whose credits include Blue blood and the film Twelve had recently focused her career on writing and posted a TikTok amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. These strikes by television and film writers brought Hollywood to a standstill for months in 2023.

“Give us our money, I'd like to get back to work,” she began, referring to negotiations between writers and major studios.

In the caption, she added: “Asking for a better contract that covers the most basic living costs at a time when streamers are flocking away and movie tickets are becoming more expensive…well, that's just not that far-fetched.”

In August last year, she posted a short video announcing that she had married CJ. The short TikTok showed the couple kissing by a tree and she explained: “These memories will stay with me forever.”

Recent videos of Banks have shown her taking a dance class and attending a Netflix event for the show. Avatar: The Last Airbender, where she filmed a question and answer session at the event and some of the event's actors afterward.

One of her recent videos showed her swimming at night in a pool with her husband and other people that turned out to be her regular Bible study group.

“Lately I’ve really appreciated community on a whole new level. I wouldn't call myself a misanthrope – but if the past was any indication, I haven't exactly felt comfortable in a beehive,” she captioned the video.

“It was initially with great difficulty that I found myself here years ago and voluntarily gathered with about 30 others in the beautiful living room of our beloved friends for Bible study.”

She then revealed that they had decided to take a dip in the outdoor pool after finishing their studies that evening.

“As I slipped into the water, I felt such peace come over me, as if I were bathing in the afterglow of faithfully answered prayers. “I finally feel like I’ve found my place and my people,” she wrote. “There's nothing like swimming outside in the warmth of the night in California – it just didn't happen – it just happened now.
